For private banks and wealth teams

Private banking client engagement

Private banking client engagement means staying in personal touch with every client, not only the loudest ones. Clientele gives each relationship manager a daily list of clients to contact, the life events and dates behind it, consent records per channel and a drafted personal note.

  • Life events, dates and long silences surfaced daily
  • Consent per channel with date, source and who captured it
  • Relationship notes only, never investment advice

Why engagement drops between reviews

Private banking is a relationship business. Clients stay because they trust a person, and they leave quietly when they stop hearing from that person. A relationship manager with 80 or 150 clients cannot keep every birthday, family event and conversation in their head, so contact clusters around the annual review and the clients who call most often.

The cost shows up later. A client who felt forgotten moves assets when a competitor makes a warmer approach, and a new banker who inherits the book starts with almost no context. Good private banking client engagement is consistent, personal contact between formal meetings, based on what the client has shared, recorded properly, and sent only through channels the client has agreed to.

What lands in the Money Feed

Reasons to be in touch that clients appreciate

Each morning the banker gets a short ranked list. The reasons are personal, never a product push.

No contact for 120 days

Clients who have not heard from you

Set the quiet period for your team. Valued clients who have gone too long without a personal contact are raised before they drift.

Relationship anniversary

Relationship milestones

The anniversary of a relationship is a natural moment for a thank you or an invitation to meet, prepared a week ahead.

Birthday in 7 days

Birthdays and family dates

Birthdays of the client and the family members they mention, saved as important dates, become a reminder with a short note ready.

After the review

Thank you after a meeting

A personal follow up the day after a review or an event shows the client that the conversation was heard.

Event invitation

Client events and briefings

When the bank hosts a dinner, a gallery evening or a market briefing, clients whose interests match are invited personally by their banker.

Document renewal due

Administrative milestones

Dates such as a document renewal saved on the profile remind the banker to reach out personally rather than leaving it to a form letter.

Consent, records and roles your compliance team can review

Private banks work under strict rules on communication and data. Clientele does not claim to make you compliant with any regulation. It gives your team the records and controls to work within your own policies.

  • Consent per channel. Status, date captured, source and the staff member who captured it, plus the date of any withdrawal.
  • Message log. Every message on the client profile with channel, time and sender.
  • Audit log. Who viewed, exported, changed or deleted client data, with time and address.
  • Encryption at rest. Email addresses, phone and WhatsApp numbers and notes are encrypted in the database.
  • Roles. Bankers see their own book, managers see every book. Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM provisioning and custom roles.
  • Export and erasure. One client's data exported as a file or erased on request, with the action logged.

Drafts that sound like the banker, reviewed every time

Each item comes with a drafted note in the banker's voice and the bank's tone, usually formal and brief. The drafts are relationship messages only: a greeting, a thank you, an invitation, a check in. They never mention products, performance or recommendations. The banker reads every draft, edits it and decides whether to send. Nothing leaves without a person pressing send, and messages go out only between 8:00 and 20:00 in the client's time zone.

On paid plans drafts are written by AI clienteling within the monthly allowance of the plan, trained on the banker's own sample messages.

Books that stay with the bank

When a banker changes role or leaves, a manager reassigns the clients and the new banker inherits the full context: dates, preferences, notes and every past conversation. The relationship does not start from zero.

How a team starts

  1. Export clients from your CRM or client system as CSV, with only the fields you need for relationship work.
  2. Map name, contact details, birthday, banker email and consent per channel.
  3. Add important dates and household details on the profiles over time.
  4. Set the quiet period and how many clients each banker sees per day.
  5. Bankers open their list each morning on a phone or desktop.

Clientele is clienteling software first built for luxury retail, where client advisors face the same problem as relationship managers. The client book app page explains how books stay with the firm.

FAQ

Questions relationship managers and compliance teams ask

What does Clientele do for private banking client engagement?

Clientele gives each relationship manager a short daily list of clients to contact, with the reason (a birthday, a life event, a long silence, an anniversary of the relationship), the relative importance of the client and a drafted personal note. The banker reviews it and sends it on a channel the client has agreed to.

Does Clientele give investment advice or suggest products?

No. Clientele does not give financial advice, recommend investments or assess suitability. Its drafts are relationship messages, such as a greeting, a thank you or an invitation to meet. Any discussion of products stays with the banker and your bank's own advice process.

Is Clientele a core banking or portfolio system?

No. Accounts, positions, transactions and onboarding stay in your banking systems. Clientele holds the relationship side: contact preferences, important dates, household, notes about how a client likes to be contacted and the conversations on each channel.

How is consent recorded?

Consent is stored per channel (WhatsApp, SMS, email) with its status, the date it was captured, the source and who captured it. A message cannot go out on a channel without consent on file, and withdrawals are recorded with their date.

Can our compliance team see what was sent?

Every message is logged on the client profile with channel, time and sender, and the audit log records who viewed, exported, changed or deleted client data. Check with your compliance team which messaging channels meet your own record keeping rules before you switch them on.

Which plan suits a private banking team?

A team of up to 15 relationship managers across 3 offices fits Brand at $299 a month billed yearly. Enterprise, at $2,499 a month billed yearly, adds SSO, SCIM provisioning, custom roles, a choice of EU or US data residency, a DPA and security review documentation.
