Shopify integration

Shopify clienteling with a personal touch

Shopify clienteling means a named advisor follows up with your best online customers personally. Clientele syncs Shopify customers, orders and products into client profiles and gives each associate a daily list of who to contact, why and with a message ready to send.

  • Customers, orders and products synced every hour
  • Wishlists and abandoned carts followed up by a person
  • Online orders credited to the associate who reached out

Why a high ticket Shopify store needs more than email flows

Shopify is excellent at taking orders. Its customer list, flows and newsletters are built for volume: the same message to thousands of people, triggered by rules. That works for a $40 candle. It works far less well for a $6,000 sofa, a watch, a piece of art or a fine jewelry order, where the buyer wants to talk to someone who knows the product and remembers them.

High ticket online stores lose a large share of their revenue in quiet moments: a cart left open for a week, a wishlist that nobody looks at, a first time buyer who never hears from the store again, a loyal client who has not ordered for six months. An automated reminder rarely saves those sales. A short, personal note from a named advisor often does. Shopify clienteling is the practice of giving those moments to a person.

What the sync brings in

Three Shopify objects, one client profile

Connect your store once in the imports screen. From then on Clientele keeps three kinds of data in step with Shopify, every hour.

What Clientele reads from Shopify and what it does with it

Customers

Where it lands in Clientele
Client profile with name, email, phone and the marketing consent flags from Shopify
What it powers
Client books, VIP score, consent per channel with Shopify recorded as the source

Orders

Where it lands in Clientele
Purchase history with line items, totals and dates
What it powers
Lifetime value, recency, thank you reasons, quiet client reasons, sales attribution

Products

Where it lands in Clientele
Catalog with collection, category, price, stock and arrival date
What it powers
New arrival matches, back in stock alerts on wishlists, product suggestions in drafts

A Shopify customer who also shops in your boutique is merged into one profile when the email or phone matches, so the associate sees online and in store purchases in one timeline. If you sell in stores as well, read how CRM and POS software work together in Clientele.

Reasons from your store data

Shopify moments that turn into a personal follow up

Cart left 3 days

Abandoned carts on big tickets

Instead of a third reminder email, the advisor gets the client in the feed with the product, the value and a short note that offers help: dimensions, swatches, a call or a video viewing.

Wishlist item back

Saved items back in stock or repriced

When a product on a client wishlist returns to stock or changes price, the client is placed in the feed at once, with a message that names the exact piece.

First order delivered

Thank you after the first purchase

A first time buyer hears from a person, not a template. The thank you message opens a relationship that the next order builds on.

Matches past orders

New arrivals that fit the history

New products synced from Shopify are matched to clients whose orders and taste tags fit, so the right customers hear first and nobody gets a blast.

180 days since order

Good clients gone quiet

A client with a strong order history who has not bought for six months gets a reason to come back that refers to what they already own.

Birthday in 7 days

Dates you collect at checkout or later

Birthdays and anniversaries saved on the profile become a reminder a week ahead, with a gift suggestion from the catalog.

A named advisor, not a no reply address

Each Shopify customer can be assigned to an associate, the same way a boutique assigns a client book. The advisor sees the client's orders, wishlist, sizes and notes on one profile, and writes from one inbox on WhatsApp, SMS or email. Clients reply to a person, and the conversation stays on the profile, so a colleague can pick it up when the advisor is off.

Every message in the Money Feed comes with a draft written in the advisor's voice and your store's tone. On paid plans the drafts are written by AI clienteling within the monthly allowance of your plan. A person always reads the draft and presses send. Messages go out only on channels where the client has consent, and only between 8:00 and 20:00 in the client's time zone.

Proof that personal follow up sells

When a client places a Shopify order within the attribution window after an advisor's message, the order is credited to that advisor. Owners see revenue influenced per advisor and per reason, so you can tell whether cart follow ups or new arrival notes earn more.

How to connect Shopify in an afternoon

  1. Open Imports in Clientele and connect your Shopify store.
  2. The first sync brings in customers, orders and products. Large stores take longer on the first run, then it is incremental every hour.
  3. Assign clients to advisors by hand, by rule or leave them unassigned for the team.
  4. Set your feed rules: cart age, quiet period, how many clients per advisor per day.
  5. Tomorrow morning each advisor opens the Money Feed on a phone or a desktop.

Clientele sits next to Shopify. Checkout, payments, fulfilment and your email flows stay where they are. Clientele is the clienteling software layer that decides which customers deserve a personal message today.

FAQ

Shopify clienteling questions from store owners

What does the Shopify integration sync?

Clientele syncs customers, orders and products from your Shopify store. Customers become client profiles, orders become purchase history with line items, and products fill the catalog that the Money Feed uses for suggestions. Marketing consent flags from Shopify are carried over to the client profile with Shopify as the source.

Is Shopify included on every plan?

Yes. Shopify sync is part of every plan, from Boutique at $99 a month billed yearly. Brand and higher add POS connectors and e-commerce webhooks, so you can combine Shopify with in store sales from your point of sale.

How often does Shopify data refresh?

The sync runs every hour. A new order, a new customer or a product that comes back in stock reaches Clientele within the hour, and the next morning it shapes the Money Feed of the associate who owns that client.

Does Clientele send emails to my Shopify customers on its own?

No. Nothing is sent automatically. Clientele prepares a personal message for each client in the Money Feed, and an associate reads it, edits it if needed and presses send, only on channels where the client has consent on file.

Can I match online orders to the advisor who reached out?

Yes. When a client buys on Shopify within the attribution window after a message from an associate, the order is credited to that associate. Sales attribution and the associate leaderboard are included from the Brand plan.

Does it replace my email marketing tool?

No. Keep your newsletter and automated flows for the whole list. Clientele handles the opposite end: a short list of high value clients who should hear from a named person, one message at a time.
