Store manager reviewing associate results on a tablet at the boutique counter

The best clienteling software for most independent jewelers, watch dealers and boutiques is a tool that hands each associate a short daily list of clients to contact, with the reason and a drafted message, and that you can buy and set up without a procurement project. Enterprise chains with hundreds of doors usually shortlist Tulip. Shopify led brands often look at Endear. Jewelers frequently look at Clientbook. Clientele is built for high ticket stores from one boutique to a few dozen.

That short answer hides the real decision, which is less about brand names and more about what your store needs to happen at 9 am on a Tuesday. This guide compares the clienteling apps US retailers actually shortlist, with the facts we could verify from each vendor's own website in October 2026, and a checklist you can use on any demo, including ours.

Two market facts matter for any shortlist this year. Salesfloor, long one of the best known clienteling platforms, announced a merger with Tulip on March 24, 2026, and the combined company runs under the Tulip name. And pricing in this category is mostly hidden: of the five tools above, only two publish a price you can see before talking to anyone.

What is the best clienteling app for a small boutique?

For a boutique with one to three stores, the best clienteling app is one an associate opens on their phone and immediately knows who to message, with no admin work first. Look for a ranked daily list, a drafted message, texting from the store number and a public monthly price. Enterprise suites built for 500 stores rarely fit this size.

Small teams fail at clienteling for one reason: nobody has time to decide whom to call. A client book full of profiles still needs someone to scroll it, think and write. The tools that work for small stores do that thinking for the associate. In Clientele that is the Money Feed, a list built each morning from purchases, dates, wishlists and quiet periods, ranked by what each conversation is worth.

The five clienteling platforms US retailers shortlist

Clientele

Clientele is clienteling software for high ticket stores. Every associate gets a daily Money Feed of clients to contact, each with the reason (an anniversary in six days, a wishlist piece back in stock, 180 days since the last purchase), the opportunity value in dollars and a message drafted in the associate's voice. Messages go out on WhatsApp from the store's own number, by SMS or by email, with consent recorded per channel.

Data comes in from a CSV export of any POS on every plan, and Shopify customers, orders and products sync automatically. The Brand plan adds POS connectors, sales attribution per associate and client book reassignment. Pricing is public: Boutique is $99 a month billed yearly or $199 month to month for 3 associates, 1 store and 2,500 client profiles; Brand is $299 a month billed yearly for 15 associates, 3 stores and 15,000 profiles. Flagship and Enterprise cover larger groups.

Where it is weaker: it is not a POS and does not run live video consultations or endless aisle ordering. A chain with hundreds of doors and an IT team building a custom store app may want an enterprise suite instead.

Tulip

Tulip sells a store app for associates to large retailers and, since the March 2026 merger, also carries the Salesfloor customer base. It is a sensible shortlist candidate if you run a big fleet, want clienteling inside a broader store app and have a team to manage an implementation. Prices are not published; expect an enterprise contract, and see our notes on Tulip clienteling pricing for what drives the quote. Our Tulip clienteling alternative page goes through the differences in detail.

Endear

Endear combines CRM, clienteling and SMS, email and WhatsApp campaigns, and is popular with Shopify merchants. Its pricing page lists a starting price of $350 a month, priced per store location with no seat fees, and a 14 day free trial. That model is simple for a single location and adds up as you open stores, so model the yearly total for your real store count (our Endear pricing breakdown does the math for 1, 3 and 10 stores). See the Endear alternative comparison for a side by side.

Clientbook

Clientbook is well known among independent jewelers and specialty retailers. Its site does not publish prices; you book a demo and receive a quote for your store. That suits owners who want to be walked through the setup and less so owners who want to compare totals on a Sunday evening. Our Clientbook alternative page covers the differences for jewelers.

BSPK

BSPK describes itself as an AI clienteling and commerce platform for luxury, fashion, specialty and beauty brands. It brings store, web, inventory and engagement data into one customer view, then helps advisors find and contact clients likely to buy. Its website leads with a demo request rather than published prices, so it suits a luxury house with a structured advisor program and budget for a rollout.

How much does clienteling software cost?

Clienteling software costs roughly $100 to $600 a month for a single store team on self serve plans, and much more on enterprise contracts that bundle implementation. Clientele starts at $99 a month billed yearly. Endear starts at $350 a month per store location. Tulip, Clientbook and BSPK quote prices privately, usually after a demo.

When you compare, put every option on the same sheet: yearly price for your actual store count and team size, setup or implementation fees, SMS and AI message limits, and what happens to your data if you leave. A per location price that looks small for one store can triple by the third opening. A per team price stays flat until you outgrow the seat count. The full plan list is on our clienteling software pricing page.

What features should clienteling software have?

Clienteling software should have, at minimum, unified client profiles fed by your POS, a daily prioritized list of whom to contact, messaging from a store owned number with consent per channel, client books that stay with the store when staff leave, and reporting that credits sales to the associate who reached out. Without the daily list, profiles go unused.

Use this checklist in every demo. Ask the vendor to show each item live on their phone, not on a slide.

  1. Open the app as an associate at 9 am. What is on the first screen? A list of people to contact with a reason, or a search box?
  2. Import a real export. Can you load a CSV from your POS today, or does data only arrive after an integration project?
  3. Find a client's sizes, tastes and dates in two taps. Ring and wrist sizes for jewelers and watch dealers, fit and sizes for fashion, rooms and fabrics for a furniture store CRM.
  4. Send a message from the store number. Who owns the conversation if the associate leaves next month?
  5. Show consent per channel. Is it recorded with date and source and enforced before every send?
  6. Reassign a client book. How long does it take to move 300 clients from a departing associate to a colleague, history included?
  7. Show the revenue report. Can a manager see which sales followed an associate's outreach?

Clienteling software vs a retail CRM or SMS tool

Many stores already pay for a POS with a customer module and an email or text marketing tool, and wonder why they need a third system. The difference is who uses it and how. A POS attaches a customer to a receipt. A marketing tool sends one campaign to thousands of people. Clienteling software helps one associate have the right one to one conversation with one client, and that is where high ticket sales come from. If you also run promotional text blasts to a large list, keep those in a compliant SMS marketing platform built for campaign rules, and keep personal client conversations in your clienteling tool. Our retail CRM software page lays out the three categories side by side.

Which clienteling software should you choose?

  • Single jeweler, watch dealer or boutique, 1 to 3 associates: pick a tool with a public monthly price and a phone first daily list. Clientele Boutique fits here; Clientbook is the common alternative if you prefer a guided demo.
  • Shopify led brand with a few stores: compare Endear's per location total with a per team plan such as Clientele Brand over three years.
  • Luxury brand with 5 to 30 doors: you need manager reporting, book reassignment and attribution. Shortlist Clientele Brand or Flagship and BSPK.
  • Enterprise chain with hundreds of stores: Tulip and other enterprise suites are built for your procurement process and integration depth.

The fastest way to judge any of them is to see your own clients in it. On the Clientele homepage you can upload a CSV of up to 200 clients, or use a sample boutique, and see the first Money Feed in under a minute: who to contact, why now, what it is worth and the message. If the list surprises you, that is the revenue your store is leaving on the table today.
