Jeweler showing a ring to a couple at a private consultation table

The best Clientbook alternative for an independent jeweler or boutique that wants to see the price before a demo is Clientele, which starts at $99 a month billed yearly and runs a daily list of clients to contact. Endear suits Shopify led brands at $350 a month per location (see our Endear pricing breakdown). Tulip fits large chains, and Podium fits stores that mainly want texting and reviews.

Clientbook is a solid product with a loyal following among jewelers, so people rarely look for an alternative because it is bad. They look because of something specific: the price only arrives after a sales call, the store has outgrown the plan's message allotment, the team wants something simpler on the phone, or a new owner wants to compare before renewing. This guide covers the realistic options for each of those situations, with only the facts we could verify on the vendors' own websites or Clientbook's own published comparisons in October 2026.

For reference, Clientbook itself says it is priced per store and then tailored, with plans named Signature, Elite and Premier and a quote after a demo. It lists native connections to The Edge, Jewel360, RAIN and ASC, Lightspeed and Shopify POS.

How much does Clientbook cost?

Clientbook does not publish a dollar price. Its own buyer's guide says the software is priced per store and tailored to store size and POS integrations, so you get a number after a demo. Plans differ by monthly mass message allotment, with Signature at 500 messages a month and Elite at 1,000. Budget for a per store monthly fee and ask about onboarding.

That model is not unusual in this category, but it makes comparison slow. If you want to put three options on one sheet tonight, you need at least one vendor that shows its numbers. Ours are on the clienteling software pricing page, and the comparison table above shows who else publishes.

What is the best alternative to Clientbook for a jewelry store?

For a single store or small group of jewelers, the best alternative to Clientbook is a clienteling app that tracks ring sizes, anniversaries, repairs and wish lists, tells each associate whom to contact today, texts from the store number and shows its price up front. Clientele does this from $99 a month. Large multi brand groups may prefer an enterprise suite.

What matters for jewelers is less the feature list and more what happens every morning. A profile that knows a client's ring size, her anniversary on June 14 and the eternity band she tried on twice is only useful if someone acts on it. In Clientele, those facts become reasons in the associate's daily Money Feed: anniversary in 9 days, value about $4,200, message drafted. Our jewelry CRM page shows the jeweler setup in detail, and the Clientele vs Clientbook comparison goes feature by feature.

The five Clientbook alternatives worth a demo

1. Clientele

Clientele is clienteling software for high ticket stores. Each associate opens a daily list of clients to contact, with the reason (an anniversary next week, a wish list piece back in stock, six months since the last visit), the opportunity value in dollars and a message drafted in the associate's own voice. Messages go out on WhatsApp from the store's business number, by SMS or by email, from one shared inbox, with consent recorded per channel.

Data comes in from a CSV export of any point of sale on every plan, so a jeweler on The Edge or a boutique on Lightspeed can start the same afternoon without waiting for a connector. Shopify syncs automatically. Brand, at $299 a month billed yearly for 15 associates across 3 stores, adds POS connectors, client book reassignment and sales attribution per associate.

Choose it if you want a public price, a self serve start and a tool that tells associates what to do rather than waiting for them to search. Skip it if you need designer catalog feeds inside the texting app or text to pay, which Clientbook offers and we do not.

2. Endear

Endear combines a retail CRM, clienteling and SMS, email and WhatsApp campaigns, and it is popular with Shopify merchants. Its pricing page starts at $350 a month per store location with no seat fees and a 14 day trial. For one store that is straightforward; at five stores the yearly total climbs quickly, so model your real store count. Our Endear alternative page lays out the difference in pricing models.

3. Tulip

Tulip sells a store app for associates to large retailers, and since its merger with Salesfloor announced in March 2026 it also serves the former Salesfloor customers. It makes sense for a chain with dozens or hundreds of doors that wants clienteling inside a broader store app and has people to run an implementation. Prices are not published.

4. BSPK

BSPK positions itself as an AI clienteling and commerce platform for luxury, fashion, specialty and beauty brands. It offers Boutique, Growth and Enterprise tiers priced on AI credits rather than seats, with no dollar figures on the site. It fits a luxury brand with a structured advisor program and a budget for a guided rollout better than a family jeweler.

5. Podium

Podium is a general business texting platform with webchat, payments and review requests, used by many kinds of local businesses. It is not a clienteling tool in the narrow sense: it will not tell your associate that a client's anniversary is next week. Some jewelers still pick it because their real goal is more inbound texts and more Google reviews. If reviews are the main job, a dedicated customer review collection tool can handle that on its own, next to a clienteling app for the one to one outreach.

Is Clientbook worth it?

Clientbook is worth it for jewelers who want a guided onboarding, designer catalog images to text clients and text to pay, and who are comfortable with quote based pricing. It is a weaker fit if you want to compare prices without a sales call, need a self serve start this week, or run a non jewelry boutique where catalog feeds matter less.

The honest test is usage. Ask your team how many client messages they sent last month and how many of those were personal, not mass sends. If the number is low, the problem is rarely the software's features. It is that nobody decides each morning who to contact. That is the gap a ranked daily list closes, whichever vendor provides it.

How to switch from Clientbook without losing your client book

Switching clienteling software takes an afternoon of data work if you plan it. The client data that matters lives in two places, your POS and the clienteling app, and you want both.

  1. Export customers and sales from your POS. This is the history of record: names, contact details, every purchase with date and amount.
  2. Export notes, sizes and dates from Clientbook. Ask support for a full export of client profiles, notes and opt in status before your renewal date, not after.
  3. Keep consent with the record. Text and WhatsApp opt ins need their date and source. Import them with the clients; do not re-text people who never opted in.
  4. Import and map columns once. In Clientele you upload the CSV, match the columns and the mapping is saved for next time.
  5. Run both for a week. Let associates work from the new daily list while the old app is still open for reference, then close the old one.

Which Clientbook alternative fits your store

If you are an independent jeweler or watch dealer and want a public price and a same day start, start with Clientele; the CRM for watch dealers page covers allocation lists and service dates. If you are a clothing or gift shop with one to three locations, our boutique CRM page shows how the same daily list works with sizes, holds and new arrivals. If you are a Shopify brand with one location, trial Endear and Clientele side by side. If you run a large chain, talk to Tulip. And if what you really want is inbound texting and reviews, Podium may be enough.

Whatever you choose, ask every vendor to open the app as an associate at 9 am and show you who to contact first. You can see ours right now in the demo at the top of this page, using a sample store or your own export. For the wider market, including Clientbook, our roundup of the best clienteling software compares every option on one sheet.
